Spring Flowers in the Churchyard
After a prolonged cold spell it is good to see the temperature finally getting back to the seasonal norm. This has encouraged the Spring Flowers to begin their
new season. The Snowdrops shoots are now clearly visible throughout the Churchyard and in the next few weeks their will be the usual fabulous display.
We expect the revival to continue, in the recently cleared anncient churchyard to the rear. It will be interesting to see what bulbs and flowers have lay dormant and hidden
for so many recent years. The Snowdrops are only the beginning of a fabulous show of Primroses, bluebells, dog daisies etc that continue from now through till May.
We invite everyone to come along and enjoy this magnificent show and hope you enjoy the real experience. From March to October our 'Riverside Pop in Cafe' will be open
(see below) |

Riverside Pop in Cafe
From Sunday 26th March 2011 until Saturday 29th October 2011 the 'Riverside Pop in Cafe' will once again be open between 2pm and 4pm each Saturday,Sunday and Bank Holiday.
We shall be selling tea, coffee and soft drinks to all visitors along with the now famous selection of homemade cakes, scones etc. The 'Riverside Pop in Cafe' proved a
magnificent success during 2010 and we would like to thank everyone who came and supported us. During the Spring you will once again be able to see the wonderful show of
spring flowers in the Churchyard. Maybe you would like to take a leisurely walk around the new Village Heritage Trail which begins from the Church.
A simple booklet, which you can buy in the church or any of the village pubs, will guide you around the trail and tell part of the history of the village at each marker point.
The shorter walk takes about 1 1/2 hours and the longer route about 2 hours.
